TERMS OF SERVICE
Simple terms for a shared kitchen.
Effective August 8, 2026
Using ShelfLife Home
You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in secure, and use the service lawfully. Household owners are responsible for invitations, roles, and activity within their household.
Free and Premium plans
The Free plan includes the features and limits shown in the app. Premium subscriptions unlock the features described at purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Pricing, billing periods, taxes, and any trial or discount are shown during checkout. You can manage or cancel through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect according to the terms displayed there.
Your content
You retain ownership of information you submit. You grant ShelfLife Home permission to host, process, reproduce, and share that information with authorized household members and service providers only as needed to operate the service.
Food and health disclaimer
Expiration estimates, reminders, barcode matches, OCR results, and recipe suggestions are convenience tools—not food-safety, medical, or professional advice. Packaging instructions, recalls, storage conditions, smell, appearance, and official guidance take priority. You are responsible for deciding whether food is safe to keep, prepare, or consume.
Automated features
Scanning and AI-assisted results may be incomplete or incorrect. Review dates, quantities, products, ingredients, allergens, and cooking instructions before relying on them.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, upload malicious or unlawful content, scrape the service, or use it to violate another person’s rights.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue features and may change plan limits or pricing with appropriate notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ShelfLife Home is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, food spoilage, illness, lost data, or decisions made from automated results. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
Termination and contact
You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict access for material violations, security risks, or legal requirements. Questions about these terms can be sent through our Contact Us page.
