How to
- Open Add food from Home or Inventory.
- Choose the location menu, then select Add location.
- Name the place—such as Garage freezer, Snack drawer, or Root cellar—and save it.

Use Quick Add, scan a barcode, photograph a date, or import a receipt.

How to
- Choose Add food and pick the fastest capture method for what is in front of you.
- For receipts, wait for the review list and correct names, quantities, locations, and dates.
- Use Delete on any receipt line that is not food, then import the remaining items.
03Keep dates practical
Printed dates are useful, but a realistic estimate works too.

- Enter the printed date when it is readable.
- If there is no date, choose a practical use-within estimate based on the food and when it was opened.
- Check Use First on Home to see which foods need attention soon.

- Open Inventory and select the food item.
- Choose Used when it was eaten, Move when it changed storage, or Discard when it became waste.
- Adjust the quantity instead when only part of the item was used.

- Open List and add missing groceries or replacement items.
- Check items off as you shop so the household sees the current list.
- When you choose retailer tools, review store matches, availability, substitutions, fees, and totals before continuing.

- Open the household menu, then choose household management.
- Invite a member and select the role that matches what they should be able to do.
- Owners can review membership, access, and billing from the same area.

- Receipt and retailer results are suggestions—review them before saving or checkout.
- ShelfLife never places a retailer order or sends payment details.
- You can export or manage household data from Account.
